Scott has more than 20 years of experience working with entrepreneurs, venture funds, and corporate boards.

In his current role as Chief Investment Officer, Scott oversees new investments and nearly 200 portfolio companies for Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, which provides an unparalleled source of seed stage capital to the Philadelphia region.

Prior to Ben Franklin, Scott was the Founder and President of Finite Carbon, a venture-backed start-up that raised more than $7 million in venture capital before successfully exiting in 2017. He also spent 11 years as a Managing Director at Novitas Capital, an early stage venture firm with $235 million under management.

Scott has worked with businesses to guide and assess investment decisions, through engagements with Merion Investment Partners, Brown Brothers Harriman, and J.P. Morgan. He has held seats on the Board of Directors of over 14 companies.

Scott holds an MBA from St. Joseph’s University and a BS from Pennsylvania State University.
